DASCH, Dunwoody Area Support for Christian Homeschoolers, is a family-integrated support group organized to help Christian home educators in the Dunwoody, GA, area. There are also moms in our group who homeschool in other Atlanta areas including Roswell, Peachtree Corners, Sandy Springs, Alpharetta, Buckhead and Brookhaven.
Our purpose is to support Christian homeschoolers through social and educational activities which promote a biblical worldview. We offer moms meetings, park days, a co-op and field trips. Park Days are on Fridays and rotate through various local parks. Moms meetings are generally the 1st Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm at a DASCH mom's home. As a family-integrated organization, we strive to offer whole-family activities whenever possible.
This is a Christian group with a statement of faith. Christian home educators of all denominations who have signed a Declaration of Intent to homeschool in Georgia are welcome. Our Mission Statement is as follows:
DASCH is a distinctly Christian, family-integrated organization with a statement of faith that exists to render support and encouragement to Christian parents who homeschool their children of all ages. DASCH also seeks to provide fun, educational activities for families that are wholesome, social, develop character and fall completely within the parameters of Judeo-Christian principles. DASCH also holds to the biblical tenets that parents are ultimately responsible for their children's education and that spiritual training is of the utmost importance. |
